## Description

The SimpLy Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data in versions 3.4.0 up to, and including, 3.4.4 due to missing object-level ownership and capability checks on media folders. The folder update and delete REST handlers (pgc-sgb/v1/media-folders), the folder membership assignment handler and the folder term meta auth callbacks only checked for the upload_files capability, and the folder taxonomy mapped its edit and delete term capabilities to upload_files as well. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to rename, recolor, reorder or delete media folders created by other users and to change which media those folders contain. Deleting a folder also removes it from other users' attachments.
