## Description

The GamiPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the gamipress_ajax_profile_update_user_rank() function in versions 1.5.9 up to, and including, 8.0.5. The function only checked the 'gamipress_admin' nonce, which is printed on every wp-admin page, and the edit_user capability, which every user has for their own account. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to set their own rank.
