## Description

The YITH WooCommerce Compare plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'text' attribute of the [yith_woocompare_counter] shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 3.15.0. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. The attribute is only passed through sanitize_text_field(), which leaves HTML-entity-encoded markup in place. The value is then printed into the counter's data-text_o attribute with esc_attr(), which does not encode existing entities a second time. On page load, the front-end counter script writes the decoded value into the page with jQuery's .html(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
