## Description

The WP Data Access plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access due to a missing capability check and missing nonce verification on the check_remote_database_connection() function in all versions up to, and including, 5.5.87. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to make the server open database connections to arbitrary attacker-specified hosts and ports with supplied credentials and view the connection results. This can be used to probe database credentials and internal network services.
