## Description

The Meta Data and Taxonomies Filter plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery via the statistics database connection check AJAX action in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.9 due to a missing capability check and missing nonce validation on the mdf_stat_check_connection function, which opens a database connection to a host and credentials supplied in the request. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to make the web server open connections to arbitrary hosts and ports, which can be used to probe internal services.
