## Description

The Download Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access via the password lock (wpdm/validate-password REST endpoint) in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.72. This is due to the endpoint issuing a temporary download key after a correct password without checking that the package is published or that the current user's role may access it. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers who know a package's password to download role-restricted packages they would otherwise not be permitted to download. Authenticated users can also download unpublished packages this way. The download key skips the package's access roles.
