## Description

The SecuPress with Simple SSL plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a Limit Login Attempts protection bypass via email address logins in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.1. This is due to the secupress_limitloginattempts() function counting a failed login only when the submitted identifier matches an existing username (username_exists()), so failed logins that use an account's email address are never counted. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to make unlimited password-guessing attempts against existing accounts by logging in with their email address, without triggering the configured ban, on sites where the Limit Login Attempts feature is enabled.
