## Description

The ThirstyAffiliates plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via <ta> affiliate link tags in comments in all versions up to, and including, 3.12.1. The <ta> tag was allowed by kses in every context, including comments, and its href and linkid values were extracted by naive substring matching and placed unescaped into an anchor tag or a shortcode string when rendering content and comment blocks. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers who can post comments to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Also published later by wordfence as CVE-2026-119089.
