## Description

The Download Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the registration name fields in versions 3.3.45 up to, and including, 3.3.74, due to the signup handler passing the WP_Error returned by a refused wp_create_user() call (for example for a username longer than 60 characters) to wp_update_user() as the user ID, which updates user 1, combined with insufficient output escaping of the package author's display name, which is placed inside the alt attribute of the Spotlight link template. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers, when user registration is enabled, to set the first administrator's name to a value that injects arbitrary web scripts that execute whenever a user views a package by that administrator rendered with the Spotlight template.
