## Description

The User Registration & Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the User Bio (description) profile field in all versions up to, and including, 5.3.1, due to insufficient input sanitization. The profile update saves the bio with update_user_meta(), which skips the HTML filtering WordPress applies in wp_update_user() to users without the unfiltered_html capability. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute whenever a user visits a page that displays the author biography.
