Description

The Responsive Lightbox & Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the HiDPI image source of links opened with the Nivo Lightbox script in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.9. This is due to the HiDPI source replacing the link's URL without being checked against the allowed media URL schemes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user with a high-density display opens the affected lightbox, on sites that use the Nivo Lightbox script.
