Description

The User Registration & Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via checkbox form field values in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.8. The user_registration_form_field() function writes the user-controlled stored value into the data-value attribute without escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts. The scripts execute whenever a user, including an administrator, views a page that renders the affected profile field.
