Description
The GS Pinterest Portfolio plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection via the asset cache post meta in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.2, due to deserialization of untrusted input. The 'gsp--…--assets' meta key was not protected and its value was passed to maybe_unserialize() again after WordPress had already unserialized it, on every front-end view of the post. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to store a serialized PHP object in the custom fields of their own post and have it instantiated when the post is viewed or previewed. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software itself. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.
