Description
The MDTF – Meta Data and Taxonomies Filter plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data via the 'mdf_change_meta_key' AJAX action in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.9, due to a missing capability check on the change_meta_key function, which is protected only by a nonce printed on the filter section edit screen. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to rewrite the filter items of any filter section and rename a filter meta key in the data of every post on the site.
