Description
The WPGraphQL plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery via the 'filePath' parameter of the createMediaItem mutation in all versions up to, and including, 2.24.0. This is due to an incomplete internal-address check that only unwrapped the dotted IPv4-mapped IPv6 form. Addresses in the IPv4-compatible, NAT64 or 6to4 forms, and internal IPv6 ranges written with a dotted-quad tail, were treated as public, both for the initial URL and for redirect targets. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to make web requests to internal locations from the web application, which can be used to query and modify information from internal services, on servers whose network routes such addresses.
