Description
The MapSVG plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via map options in all versions up to, and including, 8.16.1. This is due to the map create, update, copy and import REST routes only requiring the edit_posts capability and accepting JavaScript event handler options (events, middlewares, beforeLoad, afterLoad and similar) without checking for the unfiltered_html capability. It is also due to UI label options being rendered as HTML. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute whenever a user views a page containing the map.
