Description

The GeoDirectory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to an authorization bypass via the listing edit permission check (GeoDir_Post_Data::can_edit) in all versions up to, and including, 2.8.193. This is due to a loose comparison between the listing author ID and the current user ID, which runs before the guest ownership cookie check. As a result, logged-out visitors (user ID 0) match any listing whose author ID is 0, such as listings started by guests. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to edit, auto-save and upload files to guest-authored listings they do not own, on sites where guest listing submission is enabled.
