Description

The GeoDirectory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of listing data via the frontend listing auto-save and save AJAX handlers in all versions up to, and including, 2.8.194, due to the plugin passing the raw request to wp_update_post() and the listing save routine without removing protected fields such as 'post_status', 'featured', 'expire_date' and 'package_id' for non-administrative users. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above (or unauthenticated visitors where guest listing submission is enabled), to publish their own pending listings without moderation and mark their listings as featured. Where a pricing add-on is in use, they can also change listing expiry dates or switch packages.
