Description
The WP Visitor Statistics (Real Time Traffic) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'os', 'browser' and 'res' parameters of the public visitor-tracking request in all versions up to, and including, 8.7.1, due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. The plugin stores the operating system, browser and screen resolution names as HTML-entity-encoded text. The browser decodes them when it reads them back from the pie-chart data-graph attribute, and the chart legend then renders them as HTML. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when an administrator views the plugin's visitor statistics (OS, browser or screen resolution) pages.
