Description

The Feeds for TikTok (TikTok feed, video, and gallery plugin) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization via the sbtt_install_plugin, sbtt_activate_plugin and sbtt_deactivate_plugin AJAX actions in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.0. This is due to the handlers checking only the plugin's own settings capability (manage_options, or the delegable manage_tiktok_feed_options capability) and not the core install_plugins, activate_plugins or deactivate_plugins capabilities or the DISALLOW_FILE_MODS restriction. The install action also accepts a package URL from any host and activates the installed plugin. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with administrator-level access to the plugin's settings, such as multisite sub-site administrators, users granted the manage_tiktok_feed_options capability, or administrators on sites where file modifications are disabled, to install and activate arbitrary plugins from an attacker-controlled URL or activate and deactivate installed plugins. This can lead to remote code execution.
