Description
The Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for Contact Form 7 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via file uploads in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.0 due to an incomplete extension blocklist in the 'dnd_upload_cf7_upload' AJAX upload handler (it did not cover script-capable types such as .xht, .xml, .xsl, .xslt, .xsd, .shtm and .phtm) and no inspection of file content. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload XHTML/XML files containing script to the plugin's upload directory when a form's upload field accepts all file types ('*') and the site runs Contact Form 7 older than 6.2.4, which from that release renames these extensions to .txt. The script runs in the browser of any user who opens the uploaded file.
