Description
The Motors plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the stm_listings_save_single_option_row, stm_listings_add_new_option and stm_listings_delete_single_option_row AJAX actions in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.129. These handlers were protected only by nonces that were printed in the admin header for every logged-in user who could reach the dashboard, and they update or delete the mvl_location_settings option before any capability check is applied. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to overwrite or delete the plugin's location and distance search settings and to read the listing custom field configuration.
